Our Leadership Team
Bill McCraw - President
Alpha Specialty Contractors was started by William (Bill) McCraw in 1989, 35 years ago.
Bill began his career in 1967 as an Estimator for an old, established Fort Worth Family business with multiple contracting divisions and an insulation manufacturing division. After 22 years, advancing through the ranks to President and one of the Owners of the Corporation,
Bill left that company to start his own business specializing in Insulation Contracting.
In 1989, Bill formed Alpha Specialty Contractors, Inc., specializing in commercial and industrial insulation contracting. With the help of many dedicated Employees and Loyal Customers, Vendors, and Associates, Bill developed a business based on Honesty, Integrity, Dependability, and Quality. Nearing the end of Bill’s 57-year career, Alpha Specialty will continue under the direction of his son, Wayne McCraw, who has 25 years of service at Alpha, assisted by our office manager Erica McCraw, another generation.

Wayne McCraw - Vice President
Wayne began his journey in the industry as a helper during the summer months while attending college in the late 80s. His career took him to Alaska, where he worked for a general contractor, demonstrating the strong work ethic of Texans. In 1999, Wayne joined the office team at Alpha, learning extensively about the industry from his father. He is passionate about fostering relationships with customers and suppliers, striving to make a productive impact.
Tom Spencer - Superintendent
Tom started with Alpha in 2001, progressing to the role of general foreman while learning from Alpha’s first Superintendent, Jim McCraw. After Jim’s passing, Tom stepped into the superintendent role. His primary responsibilities include manpower coordination and material procurement for our projects, serving as the main point of contact for our customers in the field.
Erica McCraw - Office Manager
Meet Erica, our dedicated office manager who is integral to our family-run business. Working alongside her expert father and grandfather, Erica is eager to deepen her knowledge of the mechanical insulation field and the principles that define our company. Currently pursuing a degree in Business Accounting, Erica is excited about the journey ahead. Her persistence and drive bring a fresh perspective to our team, and she is committed to contributing to our legacy of excellence.
